Additional Information:

TRITON came as part of a Mackerel charter fishing business we purchased but boat is too nice for the job. Perfect Tuna or offshore/ dive charter boat. Efficient, fine entry and stable hull.

One of the first BW speed 11's built. Larger 320hp 6 cylinder nanni's -28 kn WOT.
Double berth under foredeck accessed port side and full height galley starboard. Lots of storage.
Toilet. Large wheelhouse.

Boat's had overhaul this winter. New engines, 0 hrs and full 12 month commercial or 24 private. Not yet commissioned. ZF gearboxes. New props. Tanks out and steamed etc.

Professionally applied Awlgrip paint to hull, 2 base coats, two top and 3 wax. Cabin's had a polish too. Looks spanking new.

More photos to come. Will be ready for collection early March. Any viewing welcome.

Hello all, thought it would be easier to answer q’s coming in on here than individually. Small world and I’ve spoken to some of you before. We run Tenby Boat Trips in Pembrokeshire.

End of ’24 - one of the long established fishing charter business in the harbour came up for sale - all or nothing.

1.5hr Mackerel fishing trips, no more than a mile from the harbour. A 2hr ‘deep sea’ bottom fishing trip, 2 miles out..
I’ve known Triton from new (1 local owner) and always liked the boat; large deck, stability, efficient, shelter etc if weather came in gave the boat an advantage over competition.

Engines were running well but no idea of hrs so we traded them in with dealer, like for like new T6’s. We repower all of our boats at 4k hrs as so dependant on the seasonal trade. If something’s going to fail odds on it will be in August and not Oct.
I took the boat the 20 miles to yard in a SW5-6, sat at 20kn and was very impressed. The fine entry hulls ride through it, not over it. High bridge deck, no slamming.
I met Ben Plummer, the man behind the design, he confessed it was a pain to build with the enclosed foredeck, internal port and starb stairs down to full hull depth access/ storage and full height galley in starb hull etc. They’ve not built another like it for that reason.
However, the enclosed foredeck design combined with the extra power and weight of the T6’s and the boat is very comfortable in weather – not a corky cat. Ben ball parked a new one with same interior space as Triton at £420k. Their standard closed deck/ central wheelhouse design, new coming in at £320k to give you an idea of the useable space on this boat.

Awlgrip was applied by Dales sailing, Neyland in January. Their work is second to none; as is their pricing. The boat now looks like new. Gel wasn’t bad but would fade quickly after a polish. I’m told the Awlgrip should still be gleaming after 5 years before needing any attention.

Triton is total overkill for what we do and the light duties it has done to date; - passengers/ patrol boat for local MOD exclusion zone.
I doubt I’m going to get all my investment back but it’s too nice for our application; it’s a serious offshore boat.
We only made the decision to sell yesterday, I’m back in yard Monday so will put up more images then. I’ve added some plans from her file for now and another image of before she was painted to show topside.

Q’s:
WOT: 28kn
Cruising 18-22kn 14 up. Unsure of LPM but it will be lower than expected, boats are famous for low fuel burn.
Clever design: https://www.bwseacat.com/s-p-e-e-d-hull-design/

In survey with Mecal Cat2 brown mgn280. Selling as coded vessel, new owner survey prior to final payment for your confidence. Liferafts on hire.
+vat

Spare props – old but will get you out of jail.

Rods/ fishing tackle etc not included.

No part exchange thanks but would consider part payment on agreed terms

Genset hasn’t been purchased yet. This could be taken into consideration either way depending if you wanted one or not.

Outboards? - New engines still crated, scheduled for install with dealer week starting March 3rd. You’d need to speak to BW about how to fit a pod etc. Open to the conversation. Expect dealer would take engines back with a re stocking fee.

Price? Offers - with 12 month warranty on new engines and the condition boats in, it needs to start with a 2. Having said that we have decided to sell so what comes after 2 is up to you.

Thanks, Angus
