Additional Information:

The vessel underwent a significant refurbishment during the period of 2022-2023, which involved the following improvements:

1. Complete renovation of the wheelhouse interior, including the installation of a new electronics package.

2. Installation of a pump engine mounted on a fabricated frame, along with a new Armstrong 8×6 pump and comprehensive pipework for razor fishing operations.


3. A new aft deck over the pump room.

4. Thorough cleaning and preparation of the entire vessel down to bare steel, followed by the application of three coats of primer and two coats of topcoat.


5. Complete overhaul of the steering system, including the replacement of seals.

Additionally, in 2024, the vessel underwent further enhancements:

1. Installation of a Twindisc gearbox.

2. Fitting of a new 4” intermediate shaft.


3. Realignment of the engine and gearbox, along with repacking of the stern tube and rudder gland.

4. Replacement of the main engine exhaust and silencer.


5. Installation of a new main engineroom stainless vent.

6. Integration of a hydraulic pump and clutch.


7. Fitting of a new Armstrong 8×6 pump.

8. Installation of a secondhand winch, along with a new fairlead gantry and stays.


9. Refurbishment and fitting of a reconditioned stainless steel propeller.

10. Replacement of two wheelhouse windows with toughened glass.

11. Fuel tanks opened and cleaned and new gaskets fitted on the doors on 1st October

The general layout of the vessel comprises:
- A wheelhouse equipped with two seats, a console, a fridge freezer, and a Ninja air fryer oven.
- A forward cabin with two bunks, which can be easily converted into a third bunk.
- A main engine room amidships, housing the main engine, generator, two wing fuel tanks with a capacity of 2200 liters each, and a hydraulic tank with a capacity of 200 liters.
- A fishroom capable of holding 80 boxes or over 100 bags of scallops.
- An aft engine room housing the Razor pump and engine, which is mounted on its own frame and can be easily removed through a large hatch in the aft deck.

The vessel is highly capable and has been designed to facilitate single-handed operation with ease.
I am currently engaged in razor fishing in Dundalk Bay using a 48” cage and 6” hose. In the upcoming six weeks, the boat is scheduled to undergo slipping and annual painting. Subsequently, it is likely to be transitioned for scallop fishing in November.
