Notus Echo doubles your prawn catch.

Echo detects prawn catch in real time, allowing you to focus your effort on where you are actually catching. Prawns are typically caught for only about ¼ of a tow, meaning a lot of time and effort is wasted.

By identifying hotspots for prawns Echo allows you to increase your catch rate and quality, reduce bottom contact and save time and effort by shortening your tows. Using echo to eliminate unnecessary travel can also reduce your fuel consumption by over 20%.

The Echo sensor is located in the trawl tunnel, where it detects prawns passing the sensor before sending the data back to the vessel for display on a graph. However, Seafield Navigation also offers integration with our FishingWin (formerly Sodena) plotters. This allows you to automatically colour your tracks with Echo data, instantly providing a visual highlight for prawn hotspots.

This package includes: Echo sensor mounted on an acoustic pickup, deck charger, floats to assist neutral buoyancy.
The sensor and pickup can be passed through most power blocks and onto the net drum, but can be modified if necessary.
