MV “Blue Star” is a Fairey Marine Ltd wooden motor launch built in 1965, double diagonal construction with a canoe stern. The vessel’s layout comprises an open cockpit aft, a deck house incorporating the wheel house and saloon, and a fore peak with chain locker.

The saloon includes a galley, heads and settee seating/berths. The engine and gearbox are housed in a box in the cockpit.

Fairey Marine manufactured the Fisherman model from 1962 through to 1970. Approx. 95 were built with varying cabin arrangements. It was originally designed as a motor-sailer, available with a full sloop rig, or a much smaller mizzen rig. This example has had the sailing rig removed and operates as a motor only boat.

The boat was out of the water for the majority of 2022, during which time the complete boat was sanded and repainted inside and out. The engine and gearbox were fully serviced and a new anode was fitted.
