Padstow Boatyard are building renowned fishing boat designer Gary Mitchell's latest range of GRP fishing boat designs, this one is the 11.95m x 5.4m PB40 suitable for either trawling, potting, gill netting and as a vivier crabber.

Estimated gross tonnage: 21 tonnes. The last build (featured in these images) was completed in March 2020 setup as a crabber / whelk boat.
New build slots are now available for 2024 / 2025 for any stage of build, whether that's a basic hull moulding or a full fitout to sail-away stage, register your interest to avoid disappointment.


Custom design and build GRP sail-away version fishing boats, saving you approx. £20k per year in maintenance costs compared with a steel vessel. Other designs available from 8.5m to under 15m all built to the latest MCA / SCMS construction standards.
