Additional Information:
I am advertising this fantastic livaboard opportunity for my friend Sarah. This boat was built in the second world war to a high standard and has a full documented history. She is oak on oak, she has had much work on the superstructure, new decks, coach roof etc. Inside she is fantastic as all the work was completed over the years by a cabinet maker, as you can see from the photos a four poster bed, spiral staircase etc. My friend has spent a lot of money on these works and a boat like this in good condition would be in the region of a £120K. Sarah paid £80K for this boat approximately 5 years ago and as mentioned has spent a lot more since on restoration work on top sides. She has all the usual mod cons, 24 volt and 240 volt electricity, gas central heating and hot water, log burning stove, large wheel house, seating area, aft wheel house seating area, kitchen, aft cabin, double cabin, dedicated engine room with work bench, tool area, shower, heads. Up forward double four poster king-size bed, shower toilet too much to list.
I did mention previously the value of this boat is she was all up together, however there is a catch all the superstructure above the water line is in good order below waterline as far as we know is in good order as she spends 5 hours on every tide afloat. Unfortunately the bit in the middle meaning the planking above waterline has suffered from fresh water damage and some planking is required, whilst it does not look great and requires work, this boat presents as a fantastic opportunity for an individual or family that is willing to put some work into her. The gardiner engine was running well 5 years ago and for a couple of years the owner turned the engine over occasionally and sadly stopped running the engine up so now the engine will not start so the boat must be sold with this in mind that the engine is not in commission at the moment, but if you know anything about these engines you will know that they are bomb proof and would not take very much at all to have recommissioned. All of the above is reflected in the ridiculously low price of £40,000. Sarah is very keen and motivated to sell her vessel and whilst she is a very friendly lady, accommodating and willing to answer questions and please don't take this the wrong way only seriously interested individuals need reply. Please call Sarah 07967 045529 or email [email protected]
DO NOT SEND MONEY TO SELLERS YOU CANNOT VERIFY AS GENUINE.
If possible, travel to view the boat or equipment yourself and only buy once you are happy with it.
